Abstract

PURPOSE: The title composition usable for manufacturing transparent molded articles scarcely containing substances to migrate to the contents of the packaging, having improved heat and light resistance, and gas barrier properties, comprising a vinylidene chloride resin and a spacific chlorinated ethtlene-vinyl ester copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt. of a vinylidene chloride resin consisting of a copolymer of (a) 75W95 wt.% of vinylidene chloride and (b) 25W5 wt.% of a copolymerizable monomer, e.g. vinyl chloride, (meth)acrylic ester, etc. is incorporated with (B) 3W60 parts by wt. of a chlorinated ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer with a vinyl ester content of 3W55 wt.% (based on the chlorinated polymer), obtained by chlorinating an ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer with a vinly ester content of 10W40 wt. % (based on the unchlorinated copolymer), having an MI of 0.1W 1,000.
