Abstract

PURPOSE: To form an exciter with high accuracy generating a constant voltage constantly by feeding output current of a generator to a pair of a series exciting winding through a rectifier and output voltage of the generator to one of the exciting winding through a rectifier.
CONSTITUTION: Exciting windings 2, 3 of a self-exciting AC generator 1 are connected in series to pass DC current through a current transformer 6 and a rectifying circuit 5 from the output current of the AC generator 1, and the output voltage of the generator is applied to the exciting winding 2 through a rectifying circuit 4 and a variable resistor 7. This configration generates a constant voltage with high accuracy constantly regardless of the output current Ia of the generator by adjusting resistance R of the resistor 7 to control a charasteristic relation among output current of the generator Ia, namely if2, current if1 from the output voltage, the number of turn N1, N2 of each winding 2, 3 and resistance r1, r2.
