Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the processing capacity for the arithmetic unit as a whole by executing the specific order through the 2nd arithmetic unit and checking whether some error is cotained in the specific order through the 1st arithmetic unit respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The following units are provided: arithmetic unit A20 to execute the ordinary order; arithmetic unit B30 to execute only the specific order, such as the floating decimal point operation, in a high speed; and interruption control circuit 40 to detect the operation end of unit A20 and B30 and then to indicate the procession to the next order. The order read out through order call-out circuit 10 is sent to both unit 20 and 30. In case the order is for the floating decimal point operation, unit 30 takes the arithmetic operand in to immediately carry out the operation. Unit 20 checks the reghteousness of the order along with the action of unit 30 to command discontinuation (1) of the operation when the order is not proper and to give procession 40 to the next order after the end of operation of unit 30 when the order is proper respectively.
