Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a photoelectric converter for facsimile which scans at a high speed by dividing CdS sensor arrays into several groups and by applying a timing pulse so that while one odd-numbered group is attaining photoelectric conversion, one even-numbered group prepares for photoelectric conversion.
CONSTITUTION: Five hundred twelve CdS arrays are divided into thirty-two groups of sixteen pieces and anodes of respective groups are connected in common. Cathode sides of CdSs of respective odd-numbered groups and even-numbered groups are connected in common, which are at the same position, and put together into two groups of signal lead-out terminals 1 to 16 and 1' to 16'. Timing-pulse application terminals 1c' to 32c' are applied sequentially with input pulses with adjacent-terminal pulses overlapped each other by 180°. Then, scanners are connected to signal lead-out terminals respectively. Therefore, two scanners can scan on arrays alternately without delay caused by rise characteristics of CdS sensors.
