Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the same output when only one resistance heater is used as when both resistance heaters are used, by connecting an auto-transformer to the resistance heaters provided at the upper and lower parts of a heating chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetron oscillator 3 and the upper and the lower resistance heaters 4, 5 are provided. High-frequency heating and resistance heating are shifted to each other. One end of the upper resistance heater 4 is coupled to an intermediate terminal d of the autotransformer 16. The lower resistance heater 5 is coupled in parallel with the autotransformer 16. When contacts b, d of a switch 17 are closed, well-balanced heating is performed by the upper and the lower heaters 4, 5. When contacts a, c of the switch 17 are closed, the autotransformer 16 and the lower heater 5 are disconnected from the power source and the upper heater 4 is directly supply with the power voltage because of a rated wattage. Thereby, for example, scorch-heating can be effected in a short time.
