Abstract

PURPOSE:To attempt the reduction of supersaturation, spray, and springing back of ink on a recording paper by providing a level control circuit which controls a signal level at every line, and controlling the level in accordance with an addition signal corresponding to the ink amount. CONSTITUTION:Level control circuit 1 is constituted by three sets of amplification circuit, and each circuit is coupled to each line, namely, cyan printing signal C, magenda M, and yellow Y. It is constituted by amplifier 11, feedback resistor 12, and voltage control variable rsistance element 13. The level of each signal C,M,Y is applied into high voltage pulse modulators 51-53, and the resistance value between source and drain changes in response to the voltage applied to the gate f the voltage control element 13, hence the amplification rate of the amplifier 11, changes in response to the gate voltage. Thus the level of printing signal given to modulators 51-53 is controlled. Accordingly, the supersaturation, spray, and springing back of ink on the recording paper resulting from the overlap printing due to the ink drops of every color can be reduced.
