Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation of the freeze photography which has previously carried out the range finding in a simple constitution by latching a distance detecting signal, and by controlling the focus in response to the latch signal with the photograph instruction.
CONSTITUTION: Distance detection circuit 5 issues detecting signal of short, middle or infinite distance in response to the distance of object to be photographed via exposure control circuit 1, and the short and middle distance signals are latched in the latch circuit 6. When switch S5 is coupled to contact b3 so as to do freeze photography, the latch of the circuit 6 is released by the signal via inverter 8. Transistors Q3, Q1, Q2 are conductive via NAND gates 10, 11 in response to the distance detection signal latched in the NAND gate 12 and the circuit 6 to excite magnets Mg3, Mg1, Mg2. Accordingly, the start and finish of travel of drive member 27 for paying out the lens are controlled to pay out the lens in response to distance detection signal latched in the circuit 6. Thus, even when the freeze photography is given up, it is no longer necessary to return the lens paid out, hence the operation is facilitated.
