Abstract
PURPOSE: A colorant for thermoplastic resins having improved particle dispersibility, comprising a pigment incorporated with a metal hydroxystearate as a dispersing agent.
CONSTITUTION: 100 parts by wt. of an inorganic or organic pigment, e.g. carbon black, titanium white, azo pigment, etc. is incorporated with about 5W200 parts by wt. of a metal hydroxystearate, e.g. calcium, magnesium, zinc hydroxystearates, etc. and kneaded by a high-speed kneader. The hydroxystearate may be used with a metal stearate at a weight ratio of about 9:1W1:9.
