Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of conductor rods and the breakdown of brazed parts of the cnductor rods with short-circuit rings, by inserting the conductor rods into grooves of an iron core and welding the rods to opened parts of the grooves.
CONSTITUTION: The conductor rods 3 whose ends are coupled to the short-circuit rings 3 are inserted into the grooves 2 of the magnetic pole iron core 1 and then fixed to the opened parts 2a of the grooves 2 by continuous longitudinal welding 6. Since the thermal elongation of the conductor rods 3 is limited in the iron core 1, the rods are kept from vibrating in the grooves during the operation and sparks are prevented from taking place between the conductor rods 3 and the grooves 2. The stress of the short-circuit rings 4 due to the thermal expansion etc. of the conductor rods 3, and the tensile and compressive stress etc. of the brazed parts of the short- circuit rings 4 with the conductor rods 3 are reduced.
