Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the automation for the exposure operation of the fluorescent screen through a comparatively simple and low-cost device by memorizing the relative positional relation between the panel and the shadow mask assembly into the shadow mask assembly holder.
CONSTITUTION: Shadow mask assembly holder 18 is fitted to poitioning groove 19 of exposure device 22. At the same time, panel 1 with sensitive material film 7 on the inner surface is positioned accurately via panel positioning click 11 and then placed on panel supporter 10. Then the ultraviolet rays given from exposure light source 14 are irradiated on film 7 through light control filter 15, correction lens 16 and the transmission light 3 of shadow mask 2 respectively, thus the latent image being formed. Holder 18 and panel 1 are detached from device 22, and film 7 of panel 1 is developed to form sensitive hardened film 12. Device 22 memorizes the relative positional relation between the panel and the shadow mask assembly via groove 19 and is then restored to the state which is held by the fitting between the hole of spring plate 5 and pin 6, thus completing the exposure operation.
