Abstract

PURPOSE:To prolong the time when voltage drop is detected until battery life is reached by stopping driving of one display device out of hand type and electro- optical display devices in reaponse to the detection signal of a supply voltage detection circuit. CONSTITUTION:The time reference signal outputted from a reference signal generating source 2 is divided down in a frequency dividing circuit 4, by the output whereof a motor 10 is driven to actuate a hand type display device 12. On the other hand, a time measuring counter 14 performs time measurement by counting the output of the frequency dividing circuit 4 and the contents of the counting are displayed in an electro-optical display device 18. The above circuits are supplied of electric power by a battery 20. When a voltage detection circuit 22 detects that the voltage of the battery 20 has lowered below a fixed value, the displaying of the electro- optical display device 18 is modulated by the detection signal thereof, whereby it is announced that the battery life is close to itd termination. On the other hand, transmitting of the frequency divided output to a motor driving circuit 8 is inhibited, by which driving of the hand type display device 12 is stopped.
