Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit stable rpm control to be obtained with an rpm control loop of fast control response for a variable rpm motor and a winding type induction motor of slow response and using a liquid resistor for a wound-rotor induction motor.
CONSTITUTION: An rpm control loop is constituted by a variable rpm motor 3, an rpm detector 4, a speed setter 7, an rpm controller 8, a current detector 6, a current controller 9, a phase controller 10 and a power converter 10, and a current control loop is constituted by the current detectors 6 and 12, a function generator 15, a current comparator, a liquid resistor controller 13, a liquid resistor 11 and a wound- rotor induction motor 2. The function generator 15 produces an output signal such as to let the motor 2 share the load in proportion to the motor capacity of the wound- rotor induction motor 2 and variable rpm motor 3. For example, if the motors 2 and 3 have the same capacity, the function generator 15 sets current such that the motor 2 shares the same load as the output of the variable rpm motor 3.
