Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a brine discharging pipe apparatus which is adapted to be free from effect including rolling of ships with a brine discharging pipe with a length equal to the depth of the brine positioned at the center of the brine heating chamber of a water producing device for ships.
CONSTITUTION: Excluding the wall 8a in a brine heating chamber 8, a brine discharging pipe 17 is positioned almost at the center of the chamber 8 in a length almost equal to the depth of the brine in the normal operation in place of the chamber 9 and connected to a discharge pipe line 10. With such an arrangement, the brine can maintain the level constant at the center of the heating chamber without overflow to the chamber 9 beyond the wall 8 even when the ship encounters the rolling or pitching. Accordingly, adjustment of the brine concentration and scale blowing can be done normally thereby improving the efficiency of water production.
