Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform easily the input-output control of a store buffer by dynamically varying the output control by a couple of pointers updated at every time of the inputting of a store request.
CONSTITUTION: Circuit 30 is a priority decision circuit at the even-numbered bank side for store requests FF11, FF12 and FF13 and its control uses the value of pointer 40. Circuit 31 is a priority decision circuit at the odd-numbered bank side as well. Then FFs 51, 52 and 53 reflect decision results of circuit 30 and correspond to store buffers 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Namely, when circuit 30 selects buffer 1 with request FF11 "1", FF51 is set to "1" and request FF11 is also set to "0" by the output of this FF; and then, outputs of FFs 50, 51 and 52 are OR-ed by OR gate 70 and the OR output becomes the store request signal of memory controller 6 of the even- numbered bank. As for the store request of the odd-numbered bank, the same control is executed by using FFs 61, 62 and 63 and OR gate 71.
