Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve heat conductivity with simple constitution and prevent the occurrence of dry firing by filling the space part between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder forming the fixing roll with heat conductive fine wire members or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Heat conductive fine wire members 5 of high heat conductivity comprising applying copper plating or the like on the surfaces of steel wool, aluminum wool or other are sealed in the space 4 between the inner cylinder 1 and outer cylinder 2 built in a heater 3 so that the heat of the inner cylinder 1 is transmitted to the outer cylinder 2 via the members 5 with the simple constitution, whereby the fixing roller of good heat conductivity may be provided. Even when a heat transfer fluid is used in combination, the members 5 causes the heat transfer fluid to make contact with the inside circumferential part of the cylinder 1, thus obviating the occurrence of dry firing, etc.
