Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the refrigerating capacity, by insulatedly expanding an expansion device and thus providing the expansion process in the refrigerating cycle with equal entropy.
CONSTITUTION: In a refrigerating cycle including a compressor 1, condenser 2, expansion device 3 and evaporator 4 connected in this order, the expansion device 3 can be actuated being insulated. It can adopt an axial flow turbine, for example. In this case, high pressure refrigerant is blown to vanes of the turbine to make it revolve, which drives fans 5, 6. Thus an output is taken out from the expansion device 3 and the state of the evaporator inlet moves westward from C to C' as shown in the P-i refrigerating cycle figure, which means an increase in refrigerating capacity compared with other conventional devices. The figure also shows changes of DWA for the compressor 1, AWB for the condenser 2, BWC' for the expansion device 3 and C'WD for the evaporator 4.
