Abstract

PURPOSE: To form musical tones of good chorus effect by multiplying the periodic functions of low frequencies based on the random signals latched by key touching timings to the higher harmonic components of various orders corresponding to touched key pitches.
CONSTITUTION: The frequency numbers corresponding to touched key piches are passed through a gate 5, etc. by a key switch circuit 1, then the time-shared sine wave amplitude values of the high frequency components corresponidng to the pitches are read out from a sine function memory 10 and are applied to a multiplier 39. On the other hand, the random signals of a random constant generator 26 are latched in a latch circuit 27 by the key-on signals of the key touch timings of the circuit 1. Sine and cosine function memories 33, 38 are read out based on the latch signals through the gate 28 which is controlled by the gate 5 and the random low frequency periodic functions by synchronizing the pitch higher haromic of each order with the string amplitude signals are aplied to the multiplier 39. Hence, the musical tones of good chorus effect are formed by the high frequency component signals of various orders according to the touched key pitches having been amplitude- changed by the random low frequency periods outputted by the multiplier 39.
