Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform level exchange of signal by using the same circuit as a fundamental digital filter and to make variable the magnitude of level to be converted by changing the delay time.
CONSTITUTION: When signal f(t)=Asin(wt+a) is inputted, and it is added with the signal f(t-To) passed through the delay circuit DL having the delay time To and it is subtracted with the signal f(t-To), the output signals g1(t) and g2(t) are expressed in eqations respectively. Taking notice of amplitude of the equatinons only, neglecting the phase of signal, then the outputs are equal to the input signal f(t) multiplied with the coefficient C. That is, when the delay time To is suitably selected to the input signal angular frequency ω, the factor C which is in the range of -2≤ C≤+2 can be multiplied, and the signal level can be converted. Then by suitably selecting the delay time To of the delay circuit DL, the factor A having an arbitrary magnitude can be given.
