Abstract

PURPOSE: The title composition hot-curable at a low temperature and capable of forming a filmhaving improved smoothness, consisting of a) an epoxy group-contain ing compound, b) a carboxy group-containing compound, and c) a specific quaternary ammonium salt as a catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A resin composition consiting of A) a compound having two or more epoxy gruoups in a molecule (e.g., diglycidyl ester of terephthalic acid, etc.), B) a compound having two or more carvoxyl groups in a molecule (e.g., a polyester resin, etc.), C) a compound (e.g., tetramehylammonium acetate, etc.) shown by the formula [m and n are integers 1W4, 0≤m≤n; R1 is n-basic carboxylic acid residue; R2, R3, R4 and R5 are 1W30C (substituted) alkyl, etc.] in an amount of preferably 0.01W10wt.% based on the ingredient A, and, if necessary, D) additives for a coatiing compound.
