Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the insertion work of the end of a roll sheet to a sheet carriage means by holding an upper machine body at a halfway position temporarily when the upper machine body is closed from the maximum open position in a unit such as a facsimile.
CONSTITUTION: When upper machine body 2 is opened from a close position to the maximum open position, upper machine body 2 is held at the maximum open position by stopper 23, and roll sheet 5 is loaded. When upper machine body 2 is closed from the maximum open position to a halfway position, pin 26a of holding lever 26 is linked with held convex 2b, and body 2 is held at the halfway position temporarily, thus inserting the end of the roll sheet between a pair of carriage rollers 13. Further, by opening upper machine body 2 from the halfway position toward the maximum open position slightly, the linkage state between held concave 2b and pin 26a is released, and upper machine body 2 is closed to the close position.
