Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide very natural and sasily observable pictures by replacing a portion of first TV signal with second TV signal having compressed time axis and bu indicaing both signals by switching them and overlapping each other.
CONSTITUTION: Different TV signals, first and second, are received, the second TV signal is fed into memory 5 and the second TV signal with compressed time axis is read out. Then, display unit 10 that displays by replacing a portion of first TV signal with this second TV signal is installed and control unit 6 is used for the control of switching of the first TV signal and the second TV signal. With this invenstion, both signals are cverlapped to display a boundary on display unit 10, thus enabling to obtain very natural and easily observable pictures.
