Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture with ease a decorative laminate with a metalic pattern.
CONSTITUTION: For example, onto a core layer 1 formed of laminated and cured cured core paper impregnated with phenolic resin, are laminated alternately colored layers 4 formed of pigmented and cured paper impregnated with resin and metal foil layers 5 with the colored layer 4 on top be exposed. The layers 4, 5 are laminated on concaves 2 and convexes 3 formed on the sarface of the core layer 1 by an elbossing plate, and one or more colored layers 3 and metal foil layers 5 are ground. Further, the surface over the convexes 3 can be on the same level with the surface over the concaves 2 by further grinding the colored layers 3 and the metal foil layers 5. Alternatively on the concaves 2 and convexes 3 of the surface of said core layer 1 are a laminated laternately the colored layers 4 and the metal foil layers 5 with the melal foil layer on top to be exposed, and one or more colored layers 4 and metal foil layers 5 over the convexes 3 are ground, and furthermore the surface over the convexes 3 can be on the same level with the surface over the concaves 2 by further grinding the colored layers 3 and the metal foil layers 5.
