Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a waste combusting apparatus, in which hot gas is brought into contact with both sides of the grate and temperature on the surface of grate is kept higher than that of hot gas, whereby it is enabled to shorten the time required for combusting combustible waste on the grate and to facilitate combustion and evaporation of condensate at the bottom of furnace.
CONSTITUTION: Hot-gas inlet 1 is formed at an upper portion in the wall of furnace, and an outlet flue 6 is provided at a lower portion. In the furnace, support A for placing thereon waste to be combusted is disposed downwardly of the hot-gas inlet 1, and another support B for receiving incombustible matters is disposed downwardly of the support A but upwardly of the outlet flue 6. With such an arrangement, combustion of the waste is carried out while keeping the temperature on the surface of grate at a required level.
