Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to seal a construction for fumigating agricultural products and processed food, without gas leakage due to cracking even in thick coating, by applying an emulsion of a non-rigid resin having the conventional glass transition point to gaps of the construction.
CONSTITUTION: An emulsion of a resin (a) having the glass transition point ≤0°C, preferably <-10°C is applied to seal gaps of a construction for fumigating agricultural products and processed food with aluminum phosphide, methyl bromide, etc. A polymer consisting of 30wt.% or more, preferably 90W99.5wt.% of a 2W10C alkyl ester of acrylic acid is preferably used as the resin (a). The solid content of the emulsion is usually 30W70%, and the thick coating can be readily effected by adding 300 parts by wt. or less, preferably 100 parts by wt. of an aggregate to 100 parts by wt. of the resin content in the emulsion.
