Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate control pulses of permitting accurate adjustment of a demand type copying machine by providing a time signal generating member and a converter which detects this and converts to electric signal to a rotator rotating integrally with a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Through-holes 18A are provided evenly in plurality at 3 pieces or over per 1 cm when converted to the peripheral length of a drum 6 on the circumference of a disc 18 rotating integrally with the photosensitive drum 6, and a light emitting element 19 and a photo detector 20 with the disc 18 in-between are opposedly provided in the position of said through-holes 18A. Hence, along with the rotation of the photosensitive drum 6, the pulse signals of the number proportional to the rotating angles of the drum 6 are outputted from the photo detector 20 and if these are counted, the rotating angle of the drum 6 may be detected; in other words, it may be detected that the position of the peripheral surface P1 of the drum 6 has turned up to the position of P2. Thereby, the copying miss that the image position on transfer paper deviates may be sufficiently prevented.
