Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the mechanism of a film projector by equipping a film pickup television camera device with an electrical binary-ternary converting method.
CONSTITUTION: An input video signal is binary-coded by A/D converter 42 by clocks from write clock generator 41. The AD-converted signal is separated by Y-C separator circuit 43 into a luminance (Y) component and color (C) component. Next, Y and C interpolators 44 and 45 operate interpolation arithmetic for correcting a difference between write and read speeds and set initial values for matching sequences of Y and C fields before the both are added and then supplied to three- field memory 49. Addresses are generated by write and read address generators 47 and 48. Data read out are DA-converted 50 and outputted by way of video processing amplifier 51.
