Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable sure level detection to be made by applying forceed exciting force to a vibrating reed from the outside to let it vibrate and removing the powder and granular material deposited on the vibrating reed through its vibrations.
CONSTITUTION: A tuning bar 1, supported by a thin film plate 2, self-excites and vibrates in a free state and the vibrations thereof are converted by an electrostrictive vibrator 3 to electric signals which are then amplified by a amplifier 4. The amplified signals are positive-fed back to the electrostrictive vibrator 3', by which the vibrations in the natural frequency of the turning bar 1 is sustained. However, when the powder and granular material contact the tuning bar 1 and restrain the same, the vibrations will attenuate or stop and therefore, the presence of not of the powder and granular material around the tuning bar 1 may be detected by the output of a signal processing circuit 9. However, when the powder and granular material have deposited on the tuning bar 1, error detection may occur and therefore, a relay driving output V1 is periodically outputted from a relay driving circuit 8 and the output of an oscillation circuit 5 is applied to the electrostrictive vibrator 3' in the state of relay 6 close, 7 open to forcefully excite the tuning bar 1 thereby shaking down the powder and granular material having deposited on the tuning bar 1.
