Abstract

PURPOSE: Al-Zn alloy is coated onto the surrounding surface of 5056 alloy core material to provide an anti-corrosive, high-strength Al alloy composite suitable for use as worm net, freshwater fish net, fence, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Al-Zn alloy 2 is coated on the periphery of core material consisting of 5056 alloy (Al-Mg base) to provide Al alloy composite. The coating material 2 consists of 0.5 to 1.5% of Zn with the balance being Al. The resultant Al alloy composite provides netting material which is noncombustible as compared to conventional chemical fiber net, less expensive than stainless steel and more corrosion resistant than vinyl coated iron net, further offering higher aesthetic mode.
