Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve adhesivity between a specific resin surface and a metal in metalizing, by forming unevenness on the resin surface according to corona discharge treatment. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a plastic plate, consisting of a thermoplastic resin obtained from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a dihydric phenol or polybutylene terephthalate, is subjected to corona discharge treatment to form unevenness on the surface. The surface is then metalized with a metallic single substance or an alloy according to an electron beam, a high-frequency ionized plating, or a low-temperature spattering method.
