Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable collection of proper temperature water at suitable depth via an elevating water collecting duct.
CONSTITUTION: The wire 5 of a winch 4 on a barge body 1 is connected to the lower end of a collecting duct A. The duct A is elevated up and down via a truss mechanism 2 as a guide by winding or rewinding the wire 5. When collecting the water, the duct A is lifted up as shown to collect the shallow layer water as cold heat source when the surface water is lower at temperature than the deep layer water in winter. The dust A is elevated down by its self weight to the deep layer water at the inlet to supply the optimum hot water as cold heat source when the deep layer water is colder than the surface water in summer.
