Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The command from the central processing unit (arithmetic control unit and main memory) having specific command data is detected by firmware in ROM 14, and firmware data is read out from the main memory and stored in RAM 15. After the transmission is completed, the central processing unit is informed; and when ordinary commands are received, control is branched to firmware in RAM 15. After that, control is under firmware in RAM 15. Firmware in RAM 15 sets the synchronous system of receiving/transmission by controlling URTLSI 17 besides transmission procedures control, and can generate various transfer clocks by controlling PTLSI, so that it is possible to cope with various communication systems in common hardware.
