Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the amount of antibacterial substances remaining to the surface of hair after rinsing with water, and to improve the durability of dandruff removing effect of a hair rinse composition containing antibacterial substances, by adding specific substance to the composition.
CONSTITUTION: A hair rinse composition containing (A) ≥0.3 wt% of a quaternary salt of a cationic surface active agent (e.g. 8W22C alkyl group-containing dialkyldimethylammonium salt, alkyldimethylammoium salt, alkylaminoethanol, etc.) (B) ≥0.1 wt% of an antibacterial substance which is hardly soluble to water (e.g. zinc pyrithione, hexachlorophene, slenium sulfide, colloidal sulfur), and (C) ≥0.5 wt% of a hydrophobic oily substance composed of 17W70C hydrocarbons (e.g. paraffin, vaseline, microcrystalline wax), as essential components. Addition of ≥0.1 wt% of an N-containing water-soluble polymer (e.g. polyinyl pyrrolidone) remarkably improves the effect.
