Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve reliability and make possible semi-permanent use by controlling current supply time to a step motor by providing a battery voltage detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:An OR gate 13 and a battery voltage detecting circuit 16 are added to the basic elements of a basical crystal watch consisting of a crystal vibrator 7, an oscillating circuit and frequency divider 8, a waveform shaping circuit 9, a 1/2 frequency divider 10, AND gates 11, 12 and current-amplifying inverters 14, 15. Then, when the battery voltage is normal, the coil 17a of a step motor 17 is supplied of current for a fixed period at each second. When the battery is overcharged, the battery voltage detecting circuit 16 actuates to change over the output of the OR gate 13 and cause the ANd gates 11, 12 to transmit the signal of the frequency divider 10 straightly to the current amplifying inverters 14, 15, thus the coil 17a is normally supplied of current until the battery voltage lowers down to a normal value.
