Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the increase of the inverter output frequency as well as the suppression of the commutation condenser voltage by a method wherein the load inductance viewed from the inverter is made equivalently small.
CONSTITUTION: The current type inverter 1 drives the motor 40. The inverter output frequency is divided into several stages. When the set frequency comes into a certain zone, and the zone is selected by the selection switch 33 according to each case, then, the contact of the variable reactor 31 is turned ON/OFF through the relay circuit 32, thus, developing the inductance in accordance with the output frequency. As a result thereof, the inductance of the variable reactor 31 gets smaller, thus, permitting to raise the set frequency.
