Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a wide plastic region in the stress-strain characteristic as well as to enlarge the limit and coefficient of elasticity in a rubber cushion by arranging pipes inside a rubber board for providing a required stress-strain characteristic and strength. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of steel pipes 2 are buried in a rubber board 1 to be almost in parallel with each other and the obverse and reverse faces of the rubber board 1. An abverse plate 3 and a reverse plate 4 made of steel are arranged on both faces of the rubber board 1. Besides, side plates 5A of thin steel with an arc- shaped section are arranged on parallel sides with pipes 2 for restraining the lateral expansion of the rubber. In this construction, the limit and coefficient of elasticity in a rubber cushion can be enlarged greatly by a simple process. Since pipes 2 cause plastic deformation against an excess load, a very wide plastic region can be provided in the stress- strain characteristic of the rubber cushion.
