Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the mirror plate which is difficult to cause linear corrosion, is strong against impact and has high decorativeness by forming the side end parts of a glass plate to the specified shape, coating a silver layer to the specified area and covering thereon with a film layer of synthetic resin.
CONSTITUTION: The side end parts of a glass plate 1 are both beveled but the beveled part 2 on the front side is smaller than the beveled part 3 on the back side. Silver is coated on the back of the glass plate 1 except the beveled part 3, and a beveled part 5 smoothly continuing to the beveled part 3 is formed to the side end part of the silver layer 4. A film layer of synthetic resin is coated on the glass plate 1. With such constitution, the mirror is strong against impact and since the silver layer 4 is coated, linear corrosion is difficult to occur.
