Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain the expansion of a detection range, reduction in dispersion, and miniaturization, by outputting a detection signal with delay time relative to the magnitude of an overcurrent detected.
CONSTITUTION: The output voltage of current transformer circuit 1 and the reference voltage of reference voltage input 2 are compared each other by voltage comparator circuit 3 and a ratio of an overcurrent to a rated current is converted into the duty ratio of pulse signal B. This pulse signal B is intergrated by intergrating circuit 4 and then applied to timer circuit 6 by way of constant-current circuit 5. Consequently, a signal with delay time relative to the magnitude of the overcurrent is outputted. The signal is applied from voltage discrimination circuit 7 to output terminal 8. Consequently, the circuit can be built on a printed substrate with a wide detection range of the overcurrent and a little dispersion in overcurrent detection time, in addition to the miniaturization of the whole unit.
