Abstract
PURPOSE: To assure the formation of the sensible images of high grade for a long time a simple constitution by disposing a vibrator for giving high frequency vibrations to a developing means near the developing means thereby preventing the clogging of developing roller.
CONSTITUTION: A developing roller 9 is pressure-contacted to a photoreceptor 1 in the state where developing solution 7 is sucked. The electrostatic images on the photoreceptor 1 are developed by the developing solution squeezed out in the nip part a. At the time when the nip part a detaches from the photoreceptor 1, the excess developing solution is suched by the restoring force of elastic foam 12. A developing roller 9 is pressure-contacted to a refresh roller 10 in the developing solution 7 so that it is exchanged and replenished with the developing solution. Below the developing roller is disposed an ultrasonic vibrator 14. The vibrator 14 extends over the entire length of the developing roller 9 and gives ultrsonic vibrations to the developing roller 9 opposing to this so that the solids in the developing solution 7 deposited on the peripheral surface of the developing roller 9 and in the foam 12 are liberated. Thereby, the sensible images of high grade may be assured for a long period of time.
