Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction at the time of an excessive input by extracting the output of a differential transistor amplifier from a current Miller circuit via a resistance. CONSTITUTION:Both PNP transistor Q1 and NPN transistor Q2, constituting the cascaded and modified differential transistor amplifier, are connected to Q3 and Q4 constituting the current Miller circuit via resistance R1. When input terminal IN is applied with a negative excessive input signal, resistance R1 limits an output current to the current Miller circuit, causing a voltage drop across resistance R1. The power voltage of the amplifier circuit can therefore be prevented from falling without lowering the emitter potentials of Q3 and Q4 and output transistor Q4 can also be prevented from being saturated; even at the time of an excessive input, the operations of driving transistors Q6 and Q7 can be held, so that malfunction can be prevented.
