Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust rigidity of a valve plate and prevent a lag in closing a suction valve, by making a pair of holding projections and another pair of stopper projections, both pairs being crossed at a right angle to each other, on a suction valve plate and adjusting the width of the annular suction valve plate.
CONSTITUTION: A suction valve device has a suction valve plate 15 through a guide plate 16 between a cylinder 1 and the suction side 7 of a cylinder head 4. The valve plate 15 has two pairs of projections crossing at a right angle to each other: a pair of holding projections 15a fitted to notches 16a of the guide plate 16 and the other pair of stopper projections 15b for preventing deformation of the suction valve plate 15, being guided by notches 16b of the guide plate 16. The width m of the annular portion of suction valve plate 15 is gradually reduced from the holding projections 15a toward the stopper projections 15b.
