Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the level measurement based on the position of the photo detector which received and delivered the light, by forming the light passing part of the liquid tank storing the liquid and reflecting the light sent from the light source of one side on the liquid surface to receive the reflected light at the photo detector. CONSTITUTION:Liquid tank 23 is fixed to base 22, and the light of light source 26 is reflected on the liquid surface through windows 24 and 27 and then caught by photo array 29. The two liquid tanks 23 are linked together via linking tube 30, and the liquid surface is always kept at the same level between those two tanks. Cover 32 is put to tank 23 to cut off the light, and photo array 29 is connected to the counter circuit via output line 33. Now the full reflection is given to the light from source 26 on liquid surface L1 to find out the photo diode at the heighest position where the reflected light reached array 29 enters. As a result, the liquid level can be detected.
