Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate an easy aural recognition of the time by securing a difference of the generation timing between the final time striking tone and the preceding striking tones and also giving the different attenuation time to make clear the end of the striking tone.

CONSTITUTION: Divider circuit part 1 produces the aural clock signals and the tone striking cycle pulse signals featuring the fixed and lower frequency than the aural clock signal, and voice compounding circuit part 2 modulates the aural clock signals with the tone striking cycle pulse signals and attenuates the modulated signals into the time striking signals. In addition, time striking number setting circuit part 3 is provided to set the time striking number corresponding to the on-the-hour number. This time striking number is counted down with the tone striking cycle pulse signal from the fixed on-the-hour time point, and the tone striking cycle pulse signal corresponding to the final time striking tone signal is decided. And part 1 is controlled so that the generation timing may change for the tone striking cycle pulse signal, and at the same time the attenuation constant of part 2 is controlled so that the quantity of attenuation may change for the final time striking tone signal.
