Abstract

PURPOSE: To shunt rollers to the assigned positions and discharge items being carried by a method wherein a conveyor belt is composed of multiple element belts along the longitudinal direction and the connectors between these element belts are pushed by the rollers and blocked up while the belt is running.
CONSTITUTION: At either side are installed a pair of supports 12, 14, on which are equipped conveyance rollers 16 so as to support element belts 18. The element belt is composed of a stand part 20 and a hanging part 22. Conveyance of items on the element belts 18 is performed by blocking up connectors between element belts 18 as the hanging parts 22 of the element belts are pushed by the multiple rollers 26 connected with a cylinder 30 set to the supports 12. Then, when the item being conveyed is desired to be discharged at a desired place, it is done by operating the cylinder 30, shunting the rollers 26 there and opening the connector parts.
