Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate an uneven threading or tangled threads which is produced when a winding is started by a method wherein a drum connected to a bobbin supporting shaft is gradually abutted against a type fixed on a drive line shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Clutch operation lever 21 is pulled rightwardly under the thread is stopped, the leading end 27a of the lever 27 is removed from the leading end of the lever 21, then the roller 28 presses the clutch plate 15 against the clutch receiving plate 30 under an action of the torsion bar 38. The receiving plate 30 rotates slowly along with the line shaft 13, so that the clutch plate 15 is abutted against the receiving plate 30 and at the same time the teeth 31 and 29 are engaged with each other, then the clutch plate 15 starts to rotate slowly along with the shaft 13. Rotation of the clutch plate 15 causes the lever 17 to be gradually rotated around a fulcrum of the shaft 8, the lever 35 fixed on the lever 17 pushes the pin 36 on the operation lever 9 and gradually causes the drum 4 to be contacted with the type 6 via rod 11.
