Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase dot displaying density and eliminate character missing by arranging m×n pieces of anode electrodes which are connected in common with the anode electrodes in each column in matrix arrangement and m pieces of grid electrodes which are opposite in common to n pieces of anode electrodes in each row.
CONSTITUTION: When scan counter is operated, a decoder 8 decodes the contents, and due to the output, an anode driver 9 energizes at a time the lead wires 5a1W5n1 and 5a2W5n2 in odd numbered columns and even numbered columns respectively, and a lightening-up voltage is applied to anode electrodes A11WAnm. A grid driver 11 applies a lightening-up voltage to grid electrodes G1 and G2 through a terminal 11a and grid electrode taking out terminals 3a and 3b by means of a signal from a data source 10. Accordingly, the anode electrode located at the function of both anode and grid electrodes to which lightening-up voltage is applied emits light, by continually carrying out this procedure, a desired dot display is performed. Thus the display density is increased, and missing character can be eliminated.
