Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the automatic changing-over of the recording-reproducing apparatus depending upon the kinds of films by providing the detecting means for selectively operating a magnetic reproducing mechanism or optical reproducing mechanism according to the kinds of the acoustic tracks of films.
CONSTITUTION: A switching circuit 27 is changed over by the presence or not of the operation of a photo transistor Tr22 depending upon the kinds of the acoustic track of a film 1, and the energinzing of a relay 29 is controlled by way of Tr28. The magnetic head 9 of the magnetic reproducing mechanism and the photo detector 13 of the optical reproducing mechanism are connected respectively to equalizers 9a and 13a and the changeover switch 30 for these outputs and the on-off switch 33 of an excitor lamp 11 are interlocked to the relay 29. The drive control circuit 38 of the drive motor 37 of the projector is changed over by the changeover switch 36 interlocking to the relay 29, by which the film having the magneto-acoustic track is run at 18 frames/second and the film having the opto-acoustic track is run at 24 frames/second.
