Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent creasing and enable good fixing by supplying recording paper to a pressure roller in a state where its leading end is being held parallel to the contact line of the roller.
CONSTITUTION: The drive roller 19a and driven roller 19b of a pressure fixing device 18 are disposed by having a cross angle and are held in contact at the contact line 22. The leading end of recording paper 12 is so cut by a cutter 16 as to become parallel with the contact line 22 and is supplied to a pressure fixing device 18 by way of a developing device 17. Hence, the leading end 12a of the recording paper 12 arrives simultaneously on both right and left at the contact line 22 and is pulled, and since the recording paper 12 is free from creasing, good fixing may be done. In the case of using the recording paper of a predetermined size, it is so fed that the leading end of the recording paper becomes parallel to the contact line 22, then the similar effect may be obtained.
