Abstract

PURPOSE: To speed up the filling of the column by providing an impulsive air current to a filling agent to be fed to the column by the opening and closing operation of the valve connected to the gas chromatograph column.
CONSTITUTION: A valve 2 for producing an impulsive air current is interposed on the pipeline P1 connected to a filling agent replenishing funnel 1 and a chromatograph column 3 is connected to the upper stream side pipeline P1 and the down stream side pipeline P2 through a connector 4. The pipeline P2 is connected to a suction pump 6 through a filter 5. Therefore, when the filling agent moves slowly entering the column 3, the air current is sent to the filling agent by the opening and closing operation of the valve 2. This allows quick filling of the column with the agent.
