Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (Q is CH2 or S; R<1> is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl; R<2> is H, lower alkyl, aralkyl; R<3> is acryloxy lower alkyl or lower alkyl bonded to imide; A is 1-3C alkylene) or its salt. EXAMPLE:(4R)-[(2s)-S-benzoyl-3-mercapto-2-methylpropanoyl]-4-thiazolid inecarboxylic acid (1,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-2H-isoindole-2-yl) methyl ester. USE:A hypotensive agent having improved absorption characteristics and prolonged action. PROCESS:A compound shown by the formula II is reacted with a compound shown by the formula R<3>-X (X is halogen) to give the desired compound shown by the formula I. When the compound is prescribed to a human or an animal, it is hydrolyzed enzymically and chemically to release an enzyme inhibritor of angiotensin conversion.
