Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain stable images which do not cause fog, trailing, etc. by preventing abrupt and large volume adsorption of the toner in a container on the surface of the toner carrier.
CONSTITUTION: A protrusion 45 is provided approximately horizontally to the opening of the outside wall 42 of a toner container 43 forming a hopper and a doctor blade 46 to the portion of the outside wall 41 in proximity to the toner carrier 5 forming the hopper opening to prevent the abrupt and large volume adsorption of the toner in the case 43 on the surface of the carrier 5 and further severely control the determined toner. The spacings between the respective surfaces of the carrier 5 and blade 46 as well as photoreceptor 1 are set at about 0.2 to 0.5mm and about 0.3 to 0.7mm respectively. Thereby, the revolution of the magnet 25 rotating in the carrier 5 may be smoothed and developing of the stable images free from fog, trailing, etc. may be accomplished.
